Pricing & Availability

Experience one of the best snorkeling spots on Maui at popular Honolua Bay. At this protected marine reserve, you will be treated to a lot of tropical fish, vibrant coral, and common occurrences of sea turtles and octopus. Pods of friendly wild dolphins are often encountered as well.

On this 5 hour cruise, you will also make a second snorkeling stop at another prime stop along the coast (usually Namalu Bay / Cliff House or sometimes Mokuleia Bay / Slaughterhouse). On the luxury sailing catamaran Ocean Spirit, you can lounge on the extra large deck with comfortable trampoline areas and indoor & outdoor seating while enjoying the sights of the coast, a continental breakfast, a BBQ lunch, and drinks (2 complimentary alcoholic beverages and unlimited soda, juices, and water). The knowledgeable and friendly staff, including a certified marine naturalist, will ensure your comfort and safety, as well as educate you about Maui’s interesting marine life, including on a guided reef tour (optional). Enjoy sailing on the journey back with scenic views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai, the Kaanapali coast, and West Maui Mountains.

All snorkel gear included, as well as swim belts as requested. A free marine wildlife 8x10 glossy poster card is also given per person.

Guidebook Reviews

Maui Revealed Guidebook:

A popular snorkeling destination, Honolua Bay has breathtaking underwater scenery—tons of fish, turtles, and coral—and great visibility.

Parking may be a problem here, and occasionally there are car break-ins. [A benefit of a cruise]

Lonely Planet Guidebook:

Famed for its snorkeling, Honolua Bay has excellent snorkeling with thriving reefs and abundant coral

Fodor's Guidebook:

Honolua Bay has a superb reef for snorkeling with dramatic coral formations.

There’s no beach, and the rocks and concrete ramp can be slippery. [A benefit of a cruise]

Moon Guidebook:

Honolua Bay: Top 10 Highlight. It has the island’s best snorkeling during the calm, warm summer with green sea turtles, parrotfish, octopus, and the rare spinner dolphin. When it comes to snorkeling along Maui’s shoreline, it is the gold standard. The valley, bay, and shoreline exude a supernatural beauty.
