Guidebook Reviews

Maui Revealed Guidebook:

To see Maui from the sky is to explore areas you can’t reach by land. Paradise in the tropics is a breathtaking experience from the air. Maui has some very pretty scenery. Flying along the Hana coast and through the West Maui Mountains is fantastic, especially when it’s been wet. The West Maui/Moloka’i Sea Cliffs is the best of the flights to take. The stunning 3,000-foot sea cliffs are an awesome sight, never to be forgotten.

Lonely Planet Guidebook:

Helicopter tours are a popular way to see Maui. In Hawaii the best helicopter tours operate out of Maui and Kaua’i. The finest combines the West Maui Mountains with the eastern end of Moloka’i, a jaw-dropping, uninhabited region of unspoiled emerald-green valleys and waterfalls.

Fodor’s Guidebook:

Helicopter excursions are a beautiful, thrilling way to see the island, and the only way to see some of its most dramatic areas and waterfalls. Viewing Haleakala from above can be a mind-altering experience.

Moon Guidebook:

Much of Maui is only accessible by helicopter. If you treat yourself to one splurge, make it a helicopter tour.
