Big Island

Larger than all the other islands combined and greater in size than even some U.S. states, the Big Island is vast and diverse. From the majestic cliffs and valleys of the northern coasts, to the postcard beaches and snorkeling spots of the Kona and Kohala Coasts, to the Mars landscape of 14,000 ft-tall Mauna Kea, to the lush rainforest and waterfalls of the Hilo region, the Big Island has much to explore. And of course there is the famous Kilauea volcano, one of the most accessible active volcanoes in the world and in recent years the site of dramatic eruptions, increasing the size of this big island in the process.
