Pricing & Availability

This canopy tour traverses a forested, stream-rich land on the slopes of the extinct volcano, Kohala. With soaring platforms built into majestic trees, arching suspension bridges, and progressively longer ziplines, this aerial trekking course is both serene and thrilling at once. During this unique adventure, you will be securely clipped into a safety harness and equipped with your own braking system, and you will fly via a pulley system through the forest across 9 ziplines, climaxing with a 1,150-foot long zip 120 feet off the ground with speeds up to 45 mph and an exciting rappel from the final tree. Also enjoy a fun off-road drive on a 6-wheel Pinzgauer, as well as complimentary treats of local macadamia nuts, trail bars, and other snacks.

For a fuller North Kohala experience, you may want to consider the Zip & Dip tour. Combine ziplining in the morning with an afternoon hike nearby to private waterfalls (with option to swim) and a lunch overlooking stunning Pololu Valley from a private spot.

COVID-19 UPDATE: All national and state guidelines are followed to ensure the health & safety of guests and staff. A new private tour option is also available for parties of 1-8 ($1,194 includes 4 people, and then $95 for each additional guest); default time shown for privates is 12:30 pm, but please contact us if you prefer another time or for bookings within 24 hours. More details on safety measures can be found in the FAQ below.

Booking Tips

  • The booking calendar above shows real-time availability for shared tours. If the date/time is available (including for today), just select it and finish the booking process as soon as possible to claim your spots. There are only 6 spots per time slot, so don't wait too long!
  • If none of the available days/times work for you, please contact us, and there may be some flexibility, especially for a private tour.
  • The zipline course is sometimes closed due to windy or stormy conditions, so please book early in your trip if possible in order to be able to reschedule if needed. Mornings generally tend to be less windy than the afternoon.

TravelShack's Choice

Why we recommend this option over others
  • Convenience: closest zipline course to Waikoloa and Kona, and the only one on the western side of the island
  • Newest course on the island, and therefore the safest and most cutting-edge technology, including the only one with WhisperLine-coated cables that reduce noise by over 50% and increases the durability of lines
  • Total of 9 ziplines is greater than most of the others (none have more)
  • Small group size (maximum of 8-9 with 2 guides) means less waiting time and more personalized attention (others can be as much as 24 people)
  • You remain elevated on tree platforms throughout the tour (40-120 feet above the ground), which also means lots of shade and no walking up and down stairs between zips
  • You are an active, not passive, participant in control of your own speed and body position
  • Suspension bridges allow you to soak in the surroundings at a slower pace and it's also exciting since you have to be in control of every step from impressive heights
