Experience the lush scenery on the northern end of the island, including sweeping views of rolling green hills, the vast Pacific Ocean, and majestic seacliffs. On this guided hike through tropical rainforest on a private nature reserve, you’ll come across multiple picturesque waterfalls. Your knowledgeable guide will enhance your adventure with interesting information about Hawaiian culture, history, and agriculture. You’ll see a traditional taro field and learn how this ancient crop is grown and harvested. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to pick and taste fresh guava off the trees and exotic plants such as kava and ginger flowers. The climax for many is a (optional) swim in a idyllic freshwater waterfall!
Lunch is served at a private spot overlooking famous Pololu Valley with its iconic cliffs and a black sand beach.
NEW: A private version is now available! Pricing is $1,250, which includes up to 4 people and then $168 per additional guest. A private tour can be booked by selecting the second option (rather than Shared) in the booking form above. For larger groups (13+) or customizations, please contact us.
COVID-19 UPDATE: In addition to offering a new private tour, the shared tour has been capped at 8 people max (often ends up being less). The tour is also taking multiple steps to enhance sanitation and safety practices to minimize COVID-19 risks for guests and staff. For more details, see FAQ below.
