Overview

Explore a private family-owned farm and spectacular waterfalls on an intimate tour. You’ll see, smell, and taste many elements of a Hawaiian farm, including tropical fruit such as rambutan, macadamia nuts, spices such as cloves and nutmeg, coffee, and wild raspberries. You’ll experience amazing views of tropical waterfalls from multiple overlooks at Wailuku River, including a private viewing area at famous Rainbow Falls and a roaring waterfall generating hydroelectricity. After a pleasant jungle walk down to the final waterfall (Kulaniapia), you can swim, kayak, and paddleboard, or just relax by the shore. The tour concludes with lunch at a picturesque spot with more waterfall viewing.

TravelShack's Choice

Why we recommend this option over others
Review by TravelShack Team
  • All on private land with virtually no one else around
  • Minimal time stuck in a van, as all of the waterfalls are near each other and very close to downtown Hilo, so you spend the day immersed in nature, not simply being driven around for quick photo ops
  • The most reputable and longest running small group tour operator on the Big Island (almost 25 years)
  • Intimate group of only 2-12 people
